So I got about halfway through writing a "review" of the new Twilight film before realizing I could just make a list of the negative points of the film and save myself a lot of time. Here goes (in no particular order):
1: Objectification of men and women (to put it lightly.)
2: Disrespect of parents.
3: A complete moral void and obsession with the temporal world (The Pope agrees with me here, so I obviously can't be wrong.)
4: Poor hygiene habits. Bella stares out the window for three months watching the seasons pass without once changing her clothes. Gross.
5: Bestiality (to be painfully obvious, I mean, werewolves, really!?)
6: The awful dialogue. It's impossible to put into words how painfully amusing it was to listen to.
7: Semi-endorsement of suicide for angsty teenagers who lose their favorite vampire paramour.
8: Cut-off jean shorts. I'm surprised Fashionaticus (god of fashion) did not smite the producers for this travesty.
I may add to this later.
Nevertheless, this is not to say I would not see the film again with the right people. The dialogue itself is a laugh and a half.
Also, Edward's vampire sister Alice is HOT.
I am wondering if I should thank you for putting yourself through this so I wouldn't have to, except that is what I watch trailers and read rotten tomatoes for, so your sacrifice helps me only a little. I must approve of your bravery, however . . .
