So, as before mentioned by at least two compatriots, merry Thanksgiving.
Yet, as I write this the weather has already completely changed: gone are the sunny days of Fall with their apple cider and their fiery leaves, and at this very moment the rain outside my window is freezing into sleet. On a slightly more humorous note, in the five hours or so I was inside my grandparent's house their neighbors took down the large inflatable turkey in their front yard and replaced it with a plethora of illuminated Christmas gifts, Christmas lights and an inflatable Santa overlooking the lake. They've got quite a bit of holiday spirit.
Fall is over, and Christmas is very much being forced upon me.

Though, to be frank, I'm already looking forward to the weeks of cozy fires and hot chocolate. The end of the semester is nearly here, and I'm quite very thankful for that.

Addendum: Affirming this feeling of impending, or already arrived, winter I woke up today to a blinding white light shining through my window; it was the brilliant glory of a fresh snowfall. It may not have lasted even until noon, but it was a gorgeous guarantee of winter's arrival.
