Well, that was perhaps the most upsetting article I'll read this Christmas season.
A priest who doesn't understand the language of the Bible and denies virgin birth. Fantastic.
Apparently, the dude is attacking what he calls "fundamentalist Christianity" for believing in a male God, which is ironic, because he's actually taking the Bible more literally. He's assuming referring to God as a "he" means that God is male, when it's really just trying to express in human words something that is beyond human capacity to understand. Also, he's assuming God has sperm, which is weird and ridiculous.
On that topic, apparently their other idea for a sign was a glowing Jesus-sperm falling to earth with the words "Joy to the World." Terrific.
